Our small family-owned business, located in Valley City, ND, has 20 years of breed experience and has created our own line of GSP's by carefully selecting bloodlines. Our dogs are full of energy and have strong desire to hunt all day long, while also making great family pets. We train our dogs rigorously throughout the sspring and summer, then hunt from opening day till the end of the season. Our dogs are part of our family. If you're for a top-notch furry companion, we invite you to contact Low Plains Gsp's and experience the quality and professionalism that we offer.

Our Dogs

Meet Annie Oakley, the versatile hunting dog who is an all-star in the field. With her phenomenal drive and natural ability, she is perfect for foot hunters and can hunt game birds as well as small game. Her tracking abilities are second to none, and despite being on the smaller side of breed standard, she will still bust cattails to get in the thickest cover to find those birds. Once home, she is more than happy to cuddle up to you on the couch.

Low Plains Goldrush, also known as Quigly. This 65-pound pure muscle dog has an amazing nose and a great range. Although he can be stubborn at times, he is one of the easiest to train once he is focused. Quigly has a great style in the field and excels at retrieving and running down crippled birds in thick cover. He is a lovable guy with a great all-around personality.

Rossis Low Plains' Willow is an exceptional dog that has retired from breeding. She is a small dog with a massive personality and is part of the second generation of Low Plains GSPs. Willow is a complete package dog, always on the lookout for birds in the field. Although she spends most of her time relaxing on the couch, she still enjoys swimming in the pool and playing fetch. Every year, she gets to exhibit her hunting skills flying solo during her senior day hunt.

Introducing the Low Plains High Flying Rooster! Although not part of our breeding program, Rooster is a full brother to Annie. He may not spend much time in the field, but he is a capable hunter and a big cuddle bug. Rooster's true talent lies in dock jumping, with consistent scores in the 20 to 23ft range. He has been invited to the Dock Dogs World Championships twice and will be there again in 2024.

Meet Gunner, the prospective future of Low Plains GSPs. Born from Annie and Quigly's 2023 litter, Gunner is a 4th generation Low Plains dog with excellent trainability, high drive, and great style. We can't wait to what the future holds for this talented pup.

Meet Eris, a solid black GSP with an impressive pedigree. Her parents have utility test titles for NAVHDA, and she comes from great lines like Willow Creeks Honker and North Water Grouser. Eris is highly intelligent and has phenomenal drive, which makes her a consistent competition dog in the world of dock jumping. Her love of the water has also made her an excellent retriever. Eris has produced some great pups that have proven to be very capable hunters, and her litters display all the black patterns.
